Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ to 1 pound mushrooms (white, cremini, or mixed), cleaned and sliced
  • 1–2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan: Warm butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter melts and begins to foam.
  2. Sauté garlic: Add the chopped garlic and cook for about 2 minutes, just until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms: Stir in the mushrooms and sauté for 4–5 minutes, until they release moisture and turn golden brown.
  4. Season and deglaze: Add soy sauce and apple cider vinegar. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
